The NHS Health Checks Recall Status Dashboard is a management tool, part of our NHS Health Checks product, used to give a PCT a "bird's eye view" of the performance of its patient recall process.

The dashboard shows the following information on the performance of the service:

  • Patients not yet screened by number of recalls - shows the number of patients who have not yet been screened by the number of recalls that they have been sent;
  • Patients screened by number of recalls - shows the number of patients who have been screened by the number of recalls that they have been sent, indicating how many recalls will typically need to be sent in order to achieve a successful screening;
  • Patients by recall status - shows the number of patients that have been screened, need a screening, opted-out or did not respond to a recall over the lifetime of the NHS Health Checks programme;
  • Patient outcomes by month - shows the trend over time of the number of patients either screened, opting out of the NHS Health Checks programme or not responding to any recall sent to them;
  • Patients by recall stage - shows the number of patients at this time by stage (awaiting the next recall, awaiting a screening or not responding) by the number of recalls that they've been sent.

The NHS Health Checks Recall Status Analysis is intended to help the PCT understand how its recall process is performing in terms of the status of each patient being recalled.

The analysis shows breakdowns of the different recall statuses:

  • To be screened - the number of patients yet to be screened;
  • Screened - the number of patients successfully screened for an NHS Health Check;
  • Opted Out - the number of patients opting out of their NHS Health Check;
  • DNR - the number of patients not responding to any recall.

The breakdowns show:

  • Male/Female patients by recall status;
  • Age group of patients by recall status;
  • Ethnicity of patients by recall status.
