We are users of both FrontDesk appointments & Contract+: is it possible to see the Swine Flu Prompts within the FrontDesk prompt window? I have only been able to make them appear in iCap if FrontDesk appointments are closed.

iCAP has got a LOT of additional things in it, involving lots of new products and functionality. FrontDesk has always been a separate executablefor historic reasons.

When Contract+ was first released, it was as a separate application. For the convenience of practices, after a couple of early versions, we included all of the Contract+ functionality into FrontDesk as well.

However, we now have very many products available and in development and this gives us something of a quandary. All of these new products are built into iCAP but not FrontDesk at this time.

Internally, we have to decide whether to

a) Have FrontDesk doing exclusively FrontDesk things, and then ALL GMS/prompts etc in iCAP alone, or

b) Replicate ALL of the iCAP stuff in FrontDesk, which will make the FrontDesk executable considerably larger and also has overheads for us.

This decision, and the project plan to implement it, are in our development roadmap but over the last month or so we got a lot of requests from practices for us to help them with the swine flu vaccination program. The only way we could do that in the timescales available was to release an audit which is only included in iCAP.

So, unfortunately, the swine flu prompt is only available when running iCAP at present. The next major release, once we have had more of a chance to react to the situation, will resolve this.
