I was doing some maintenance in FDW last night just as it shut down for the backup. The appointment I was amending is now showing as "locked by another user". Is there a way to unlock it?
Answer
Go into Start | Programs | Informatica | Administration | Utilities.
Double mouse click on the option 'Clear Booking Locks'. This will show you all the slots which have a booking lock applied to them.
Highlight the one in question and click on 'Clear'.
NB: there is a 'Clear all' option, but this should only be used when all other users are logged out, so as to avoid the possibility of clearing a booking lock which should be in place, as all slots have a booking lock applied when users select the slot to be booked.
